Authorized distributors are licensed to sell our music in its original form to consumers for personal use.
Are you eligible to become a distributor? We love to grant distributor licenses, but please understand that we don't grant them to everyone. As a general rule, we only grant distributor licenses to individuals and organizations that:
a. Have an established business or website, preferably (but not
essentially) one through which you already distribute downloads or
other media.
(As
a rough guide to website owners, your website(s) will need to be receiving a minimum of 10,000 visitors per month to qualify).
b.
Have a website or business that is related to relaxation, stress
management, hypnosis, personal development, holistic health,
spirituality and so on. (So if you run a website that is all about
financial planning, football or camping supplies for example, your
application will not be successful).
c. Have been in operation for at least 12 months.
However...
We are human beings, not bureaucratic robots. If you're interested in becoming a distributor then we're happy to discuss your plans with you. We consider each request fairly and we do like to help people as much as we can.
Why become a distributor?
Most of our distributors are website owners who are enthusiastic about
our music and who are looking for ways to increase their online turnover. Music
downloads are very popular these days, and our music distribution
program is a very simple, efficient way to turn your website into an online store.
Selling downloads directly from your own website is far more effective,
profitable and satisfying than any affiliate program will ever be. You will keep the lion's share of any sales you make, and your customers never have to leave your website in order to make a purchase (hey - you worked hard to get them to visit you in the first place, so why send them away to buy products elsewhere?).
Our relaxing music is in high demand, and most
distributors find it very easy to generate regular sales at a retail
price of between $9.95 and $14.95.
What Distributors Can Do...
As a distributor you will be able to sell MP3 downloads of our music on your website with complete independence. You will host the music within your own e-commerce system and receive payments directly from your customers.
What Distributors Can't Do...
You cannot sell our music on a royalty free basis or sub-license it to anyone else. In other words, you are permitted to sell our music to non-commercial consumers for their own personal use, but you can't sell the music to businesses or license the music to people who want to use it in the background of an audio production.
Licensing Fees
The
fees associated with distributing our music are quite different to
our standard royalty free music prices. When you sell our music in its original
form you effectively become a music retailer, and as a result you must
pay a commission on the sales you make.
There are zero up-front costs associated with becoming a distributor. You can start selling our music at your own pace and during the first 14 days of each month you will make a single commission payment based on however many downloads you sold during the previous month. These commissions are calculated at a rate of US$4.00 per download. This is the one and only fee you'll ever have to pay.
